Your journey to Tyax Lodge & Heliskiing is part of the adventure. Located near Gold Bridge, BC the resort is readily accessible by ground or air, yet remote enough to ensure a genuine wilderness experience.

If you are driving, please note:

  • We recommend always checking DriveBC.ca before driving to Tyax and planning your trip accordingly. Tyax Lodge & Heliskiing does not have control of the status of road conditions.
  • Please be prepared to drive on long gravel roads with the appropriate vehicle and spare tire.  Some routes may require a 4-wheel vehicle. See more details below.
  • Rental vehicles may not be covered by insurance for the roads that lead to Tyax Lodge & Heliskiing.
  • There is NO fuel available at the Lodge. The closest commercial gas stations are in Lillooet and Pemberton. Self-serve fuel is available in Gold Bridge. Ensure you have plenty of fuel available during your trip.
By Ground

From the Lower Mainland

Via Pemberton/Lillooet

  1. Drive North on Highway 99 towards Whistler.
  2. Drive through Whistler to Pemberton.
  3. Continue on Highway 99 (Duffy Lake Road) to Lillooet.
  4. Drive into Lillooet turning right on Main Street and left at Moha Road (just past Subway).
  5. Follow Road 40 (Carpenter Lake Road) towards Gold Bridge until you see a fork-off to Tyaughton Lake Road (will take 1.5-2 hours).
  6. Go right up the hill (do not go to Gold Bridge) and follow Tyaughton Lake Road for 8 kilometres into Tyax Lodge & Heliskiing.

Please note that the Carpenter Lake Road is a maintained Provincial Highway but there are unpaved and narrow sections; please be cautious of sharp corners and rocks on the road. Drive with caution & care. To check on the status of Hwy 40 check drivebc.ca.

From Kamloops

Via Lillooet

  1. Take the Trans Canada Highway West (#1) towards Cache Creek.
  2. In Cache Creek, take a sharp right onto Cariboo Hwy (Hwy 97N) towards Lillooet.
  3. Turn left onto Hwy 99S at the junction where Hat Creek Ranch is, and drive through Marble Canyon.
  4. Turn right at the signs for Lillooet and drive over the Fraser River Bridge.
  5. Turn right onto Seton Lake Road towards Lillooet.
  6. Drive into Lillooet turning right on Main Street and left at Moha Road (just past Subway).
  7. Follow Road 40 (Carpenter Lake Road) towards Gold Bridge until you see a fork-off to Tyaughton Lake Road (will take 1.5-2 hours).
  8. Go right up the hill (do not go to Gold Bridge) and follow Tyaughton Lake Road for 8 kilometres into Tyax Lodge & Heliskiing.
