Heather was first introduced to Tyax way back in 1998. Since then, she has worked on and off, transitioning the company when it was purchased by the new owner, Nicolas Saverys, spearheading the renovations at the lodge and chalets, and introducing the core elements of what makes Tyax unique…..One Group Heliskiing and Unlimited Vertical. A life long bucket list item was crossed off when she purchased a 47′ sailboat in 2010 and went exploring the Pacific coast, making it as far south as Ecuador and the Galapagos Islands before a call back to the forests of BC came. Since 2016, she’s led a fantastic and skilled group of enthusiasts who all share a love of the area, and of Tyax in particular. The ocean, like the woods, is vast, and continues to fascinate and excite Heather. Recent travels have solidified the notion that here at Tyax, we live in the best place on earth.
Elysa began her career at Tyax Lodge & Heliskiing in 2011 after moving to the South Chilcotins from her hometown Sidney, BC on Vancouver Island. A passionate outdoor enthusiast, Elysa never tires of exploring her surroundings or the endless activities that each season brings to life in the mountains.
With a background in Tourism and Business Administration, Elysa is proud to represent Tyax as Assistant Lodge Manager. Her responsible happy nature, ever-growing knowledge of resort operations, and respect of the wilderness empowers her to ensure guests have a great stay at Tyax. The accounting department and heli transfers are specialties of the Pemberton Valley where Sandra Marti has resided since 1989. Sandra moved from North Vancouver where she was born and raised to pursue a life in a small town in the mountains.
She joined the Tyax team in the spring of 2016 and now runs the Pemberton office, well with a lot of help from the team up at the Lodge. Working around the helicopters is exciting and the perma smiles on our guests faces upon their return is truly rewarding. Some of Sandra’s favorite moments are spent working on location at Tyax Lodge where the guaranteed peace and quiet easily melts off the stress of the day.
Malgosia has worked at Tyax since winter ’17. After graduating from university in Copenhagen and a brief career in translation in Europe, she realized that there’s much more to life and decided to start traveling and working in the exciting hospitality industry. Since she graduated from her tourism and hospitality degree in Toronto, she’s worked for brands like the The Fairmont and Pan Pacific Resorts & Hotels, but found her seasonal home at Tyax Lodge in the South Chilcotin Mountains. She loves the mountain and the wave, so you can usually find her on the slopes or surfing somewhere on far away beach. When not at Tyax, Malgosia is busy exploring the world and helping street animals of Asia and Central America.
