Tyax COVID-19 Response

Dear Friends and Fans of Tyax Lodge & Heliskiing,

As we remain fully committed to the health, safety, and well-being of both our guests and our staff at Tyax Lodge, we are closely and actively monitoring the COVID-19 situation and are conforming to the guidelines put forth by the federal and provincial governments, local health officials, and the World Health Organization.

Summer 2020

With these priorities of our guests and staff in mind, and against an ever-changing backdrop of travel restrictions around the world, we have made the difficult but necessary decision to delay the opening date of Tyax Lodge’s upcoming summer season to Friday, June 26, 2020.

At that time, our campground and chalets will become available, however, we are currently expected to keep the lodge closed until further notice. Please note that while our restaurant will also remain closed, our patio will be open for drinks and light snacks.

We have undertaken enhanced health and safety measures by reinforcing our sanitation and cleaning protocols to keep all visitors to our area and resort as safe as we can.

As the guidance for travel is constantly being updated, we will remain as fluid as we can while the situation evolves. Please continue to visit this page for updates.

Despite these ongoing challenges, we are look forward to welcoming many new and returning guests to the Bridge River Valley.

To request a summer booking or to obtain our current availability, please contact:
Elysa, Assistant Lodge Manager, at elysa@tyax.com or
Mal, Guest Services/Reservations, at reservations@tyax.com

Our phones continue to be monitored Monday to Friday during reduced office hours.

Winter 2021

Also, considering the COVID-19 pandemic, we have adjusted our 2021 booking policies to help ease the decision-making process for our guests that wish to book an upcoming heliski adventure here at Tyax Lodge & Heliskiing.

We have introduced a ‘no questions asked’ refund policy effective until September 30, 2020. Any new heliski reservation deposit (or payments) are 100% refundable until that date. As of October 1, 2020, our regular cancellation policy will apply (note balance payments remain fully refundable until 90 days prior to arrival date).

After September 30, 2020, if a guest cannot travel for their 2021 heliski trip due to travel restrictions imposed by his/her country and/or Canada due to the COVID-19 pandemic, Tyax will credit the full amount paid toward a future trip with us. This credit will be valid for one season and is non-transferable.

For all other existing reservations, we have relaxed our cancellation policy during this time and are working with guests on a case-by-case basis. Please contact Anne, our Winter Sales and Reservations Manager, at anne@tyax.com or sales@tyax.com.  For more information, you may call her direct at 250.309.4248.

We recognize that it is difficult to know how the upcoming months will unfold, therefore we want to assure all of you that we are available to work with you for the best possible outcome.

For All Tyax Guests

We apologize for any inconvenience these changes may pose and thank you for your understanding. If you have any questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to contact us. For further information and reassurance regarding your travel plans, please refer to the Canadian Government’s COVID-19 Updates Page.

Please remember to stay safe, keep social distancing in mind, and above all, be kind to one another. Together we will get through this.

Be well and best wishes,

Heather Reimer
