Guide Update

March 4, 2026 4:42 pm

Alex Wigley, our Heli Skiing Operations Manager, recently shared an update on conditions across our nearly one-million-acre ski area:

"Another 10 cm of dry powder has refreshed the tenure this week, and conditions across our entire area are skiing beautifully. Guests are exploring every zone, enjoying consistent snow quality and a wide range of terrain options.

Arrowhead is offering soft, carvable wind-pressed snow, while sheltered areas in the Ochre, Bridge, and Slim zones are holding 10–15 cm of bouncy, playful powder. Gun and Taseko are delivering smooth, confidence-inspiring turns, and Sorcerer Glacier and Paradise Lost have quickly become standouts for many guests.

With an additional 10–25 cm forecast over the next 48 hours, we’re expecting a fantastic reset. It’s shaping up to be an exceptional stretch of skiing in the South Chilcotin over the coming week."

Keen to join us? We still have a few spots left this winter.

Don't forget: at Tyax Heliskiing, we operate with a one-group-per-helicopter format, which means no waiting on other groups, no rushing, and more skiing. It’s a relaxed, exclusive, and is a truly unforgettable experience.
