Guide Update

February 11, 2026 11:15 am

Alex Wigley, our Heli Skiing Operations Manager, recently shared an update on conditions across our nearly one-million-acre ski area:

"Last night we got about 4cm overnight.  We had just skied the Ochre today, and found mostly knee deep 10/10 powder skiing with section of up to thigh deep. That being said, it’s not widespread, the Vayu was just 15cm of powder, but in the right spots it’s epic. The north didn’t receive as much fresh snow, and have found the southern tenure is where the best snow is. All the groups are having a great time"

Don't forget: at Tyax Heliskiing, we operate with a one-group-per-helicopter format, which means no waiting on other groups, no rushing, and more skiing. It’s a relaxed, exclusive, and is a truly unforgettable experience.
