Guide Update

February 14, 2025 11:00 am

What a great week it’s been!  Although we have had cold temperatures, they have warmed up and hovering around -7.

Conditions have been firm in some areas of the high alpine, but we are still finding lots of fresh cold dry powder in sheltered terrain.

The previous storm snow has settled in to 20-30cm of hero snow.  For those who don’t know what hero snow is, everyone looks like a hero skiing it!

The past 4 days, we've skied 23,000m of vertical, and have visited the Vayu, Bridge, Ochre, Slim, Dickson, and Gun.

We've skied a variety of terrain from sheltered glaciers in the Alpine, to open treeline terrain.

Our avalanche conditions are Low at all elevations.  It also looks like we have a bit of snow on the way.  Hope to see you out here!

February 12:

Our third week is upon us, and kicking off with some bluebird weather!

Conditions have been firm in some areas of the high alpine, but we are still finding lots of fresh cold dry powder in sheltered terrain.

There is 30-40cm of cold powder sitting on a soft base, that is absolutely effortless to ski.

So far in the past 4 days, we've skied 23,000m of vertical, and have visited almost every zone in our tenure.

We've skied everything from wide open glaciers up high, to finding amazing quality snow in wide open treeline chutes.

Our avalanche conditions are Moderate in the Alpine, and Low at treeline and below.  It also looks like we have more bluebird weather on the way to explore further.  Hope to see you out here!
